A Fair Fight

I am supporting McCain/Palin for President and Vice-President. I believe that Barak Obama is a con, a danger to America and I don't believe anything that comes out of the man's mouth. Besides Obama's socialistic veiws, the thing that bothers me the most is how unfair this election has gone. I don't know one person, other than todays Liberals, who appreciates an unfair fight. And who is to blame for this unfairness? You guessed it, the media. The bias is everywhere. One of my friend's daughters was watching MTV (poor choice) and the constant message at the top of the screen was "Last chance to vote for Change." Who is that message for? I am surprised that Cartoon Network hasn't started plugging for Obama in between cartoons. No, I don't want Obama to win but if he won fairly it would be easier to accept. If McCain wins, and I haven't counted him out despite the polls, we can expect riots in every major city across our nation. That would truly be unfair. We can do so much better than this but I've given up on the media.

Palin's Errors Pale Compared to Obamas

We have a few more days until the election and now the news agencies are bringing up things about Sarah Palin that I haven't investagated as yet. Something about her buying clothes for her children to wear for campaigning. I would be laughing if it wasn't so pathatic. All the things that Obama has done to get elected (everything that is except for actually spending time as a Senator) from Bill Ayers, Acorn, Rev. Wright and on and one. Whatever Sarah Palin has or hasn't done, her actions pale into comparison to Obama. I don't believe one word that comes out of his mouth except that he wants to spread the wealth around. The polls show that he is ahead of John McCain and it makes me wonder if America is really listening. I am not counting McCain out but the fact that so many Americans are supporting Obama is to me very strange. It's as though his supporters are in a fog or some kind of a deep sleep but I really believe that these people just hate George Bush so much that they want to punish our nation for re-electing him to office. The problem is that we will all be punished if Obama is elected.

At What Cost?

Lies, voter fraud, media bias, question of "Where were you born Obama?", an angry, bitter wife, attending a church for twenty years where the pastor preached "The hateful whites and goddamn America",  friendship with an unrepentant terrorist, taking and giving contribution money, the list goes on and on. Win the election at any cost. I have spent many hours at the computer, reading blogs and watching videos. Listening to Democrates defend Obama on every possible issue. If Obama wins the election, I fear that the America I love will sink so far into the abyss that we will never see the light of day again. I so much wanted my grandchildren to know that the country they were born in is the greatest country in the world. It breaks my heart that this probably won't happen and I hope I am dead wrong. If I am right then I hope I'm just dead.

Milk of Human Kindness or human milk of...huh?

I received an email the other day that was too funny to be real or so I thought. I checked it out on Snopes and lo and behold, Peta has done it again!

It seems that Peta, people who don't eat meat, fish or dairy products, wrote a letter to Ben & Jerry's Ice-Cream Headquarters in Denver with an inovative idea. A restaurant in Switzerland is cooking food with human breast milk as opposed to cow's milk. You know, soups and sauces and such. Peta thinks this is not only a tasty idea but a more humane one. They believe that it is not only cruel to eat beef, it is cruel to milk one also. Ben & Jerrys didn't think much of this idea and neither do the people I sit around  having milkshakes with.

This is both funny and sad at the same time.

Tell you what is sad. Years ago a Peta Person came to my home seeking donations for the "Darter Snail".  She said she was worried that the little fellar was in danger of becoming extinct. (I'm not kidding) I told her that I would bet a weeks pay that she was pro-choice. Her eyes widened and she asked me how in the world I knew that.

Some people just don't get it and I guess they never will and that to me is very sad.

My Favorite Liberal

As a youngster, I had a major crush on him. What young girl wouldn't love that handsome face and those beautiful blue eyes? As an adult I came to admire his acting ability, his long, happy marriage and his charitable heart. He shunned plastic Hollywood and knew that staring in a movie, being rich and famous is not the same as, say, curing cancer. One more reason to like the man. He stared in so many classic movies that it's difficult to name them all. My favorite role was as Frank Galvin in "The Verdict". He was so convinving that I wanted to join him on-screen and encourage him. When he sang "Plastic Jesus" in "Cool Hand Luke" I cried with him.

ALL of the money from "Newman's Own" went to charity and he spent many hours working to give gravely ill children's lives some fun at his Hole In The Wall Gang Camps.

A news anchor, on our local news in Seattle, interviewed him some time ago and found him to be warm, kind and of course, generous. He said in the interview that he wanted to be remembered, not for his acting or car racing, but for his work on behalf of children.

When you die and it can be said that you left better than you found then you have done well. Paul Newman did just that and I will miss him.

My condolences to his family and friends.

I Can't Do It

I love good acting and good movies. I spent many Saturday afternoons in a darkened theater, straining my neck to look up at a huge screen and admiring beautiful people. I learned important lesson from some great movies like "Gentleman's Agreement." I hated the way some grown-ups talked about Jews and Blacks but what could I, a youngster, do about that? I learned that if someone used "the N word" or said something deragatory about a Jewish person,  I could speak up and voice my objection, which I have done all of my life. (This is not related to the PC that is popular today where almost everyone takes offense at almost everything) It is common decent things about other human beings.

I cannot even fathom John Wayne or Jimmy Stewart going to Germany and hugging Adolph Hitler. So when I see Danny Glover, Kevin Spacey, Harry Belefonte and other famous celebrities hugging Hugo Chavez, an American hater, I not only cringe, I will not, can not watch them or listen to them say anything. I can not go see their movies or listen to their songs. It's a Jane Fonda revultion of mine. I have thrown away their movies and record albums and they will get no more of my hard earned money.

So you are rich, so you are famous, so you are an unAmerican idiot!

I Can't Look

As a Conservative and a Patriot, I am embarrased to say that I did not watch the Presidential debate last night. The real reason? I was so concerned that the media would take some simple comment that John McCain made and have a wild drunken party with it. I am as concerned about terrorism, the economy, immigration, abortion, etc. as the next person but when the media lies about everything Conservative, we've got huge problem.  I realize that this isn't anything new these days but what can be done? Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity are doing their part.

A friend's neice was watching something on MTV (bad news) and she said the crawler was saying "If you really want "Change" then register to vote." I'm all for people registering to vote but wasn't this blatant support for Obama or am I just imagining things? Bias is everywhere these days. Cartoon Network next?
Edward R. Morrow and Fred Friendly must be sobbing right about now over the state of journalism. When two anchors/commentors/journalist/whatevers have to be removed from election reporting because they are SO bias on a very bias network, call me crazy but something's fishy.

Take responsibilty...when you report the news, report the truth. If you don't know the details then say so. If you know the details report them truthfully even it it hurts. You can do better than this. America is watching and waiting.

The Almighty Uterus

A women's right to choose, a women's right to privacy, a women's right to control her own body. Every child a wanted child. Keep your religion off of my body. Coat hangers and back alleys, terminate a pregnancy, rape, insect, health of the mother, when the pope gets pregnant. I have heard every possible argument for and against abortion for the last forty years and 48 million abortions later we are still seperated by vacuous slogans. Liberal feminists who should be applauding the first female VP candidate for the GOP and for choosing to have five children and a career are instead fuming that this same woman decided to have a disabled baby rather than "terminate her pregnancy." HYPOCRACY!!!! It was HER BABY AND HER CHOICE!
If women want control over their own bodies, why don't they take control and stop getting pregnant or accept reality? As a married woman, most birth control did not work for me and I have the medical records to prove it. I lost three babies in miscarriage and had three children. I was pressured to have an abortion because of my health and the undefined health of my child but staunchly refused. This makes me neither a saint or religious freak. It makes me a realist and responsible for my own body. To kill an innocent child because difficult things occur or modern medicine doesn't always give the wanted results is the most selfish act possible.

More education? Ask any young white girl what Justin Timberlake is doing these days, she will be able to tell you. Ask a young black girl her favorite rap artist and she will give you her answer. Ask the older of the races who won Dancing With The Stars or who won the emmy for best actor, chances are they can tell you. But they don't know the danger of unprotected sex? Haven't heard of STDs and Aids? It's all bull and everyone knows it. They know the truth and they just don't care. There is free birth control in every major city in America and the number of adoption applicants each year out-numbers the number of abortions. Every child is wanted by someone. Feminists use to say "If you don't want them to have abortions then you sign up to take their child." Another useless slogan. I took reponsibility for my body and my actions.

Instead of worshiping a loving God who is the creator of all life, we have Margaret Sanger's negative eugenics and Planned Parenthood's tax supported abortion mills. As impossible as it seems some have survived abortions and there is a fight to refuse medical care for that infant. (You certainly can't do that to an illegal alien or any other patient in an American emergency room.) To refuse to give medical care to an abortion survivor is inhumane and barbaric! It is out of the women's body and can no long harm her or take any "right" she may have. This human life has nothing to do with religion or politics but of human decency. Mr. Obama has said that he is opposed to a bill to give aid to an abortion survivor because it might have a negative effect on Roe V. Wade. For Liberals, Roe V. Wade now trumps everything. Whoever thought that the uterus would become "the almighty".

I heard Bill O'Reilly suggest that many women who publicly support abortion rights actually feel so much guilt and shame over their own abortions that facing the reality of their "choice" is too painful. I believe he is correct. Our loving God is forgiving and WILL forgive a repentant heart no matter what the sin.

While like all Americans, I am concerned about terrorism, the economy, immigration, lying media, etc I am most concerned about human life and what we do with it. If a man or woman will not protect an innocect, helpless human being he or she will not, cannot help our nation. They will have no part in my life. They will have neither my taxes, support or respect. I know we can do better on abortion but will we?

If you have never taken a public stand on opposing abortion this is the time. If not now, when?

What Happened To Our Conscience?

In 1970, 71 and 72, I became involved with Human Life, an organization working to prevent abortion from becoming legal. We typed letters, informing people of the ramifications of making a law that said you were justified in murdering your unborn child. We telephoned people in our community, asking them their opinion on legalizing abortion. We marched in the street and some appeared on TV, explaining why we were pro-Life and asking for support.

We often had guest speakers, leaders in the community, pro-Life lawyers, etc. One speaker in particular, was very intelligent and articulate and said something I will never forget.

"Today, the unborn are referred to as a product of conception, a blob of tissue, but remember this. If abortion becomes legal they will one day say....We know it is a human life, a baby, but we don't care."

I have thought of her words almost every day since hearing them and that is exactly what abortion has come to. In the years leading up to Roe. V. Wade, rape, insest and the life of the mother were the reasons for allowing legal abortion. In 2008 the reasons go far beyond that. Many under age girls have abortions without their parents knowing and many women have had several. Abortion on demand for conveinence, birth control and many other excuses. There have been a staggering 40 million abortions in America which also means that that many women who either don't have any respect for human life, by not believing in a loving God who creates life, or are regretting their decision. I also believe that many women who say they are pro-choice do so because of the guilt and shame they feel for having an abortion and don't want to admit that they made a bad decision.

I have never had an abortion but I do know that many women grieve over their decision before they have an abortion but that process is nothing like the grief that comes from knowing that you have taken the life of your own flesh and blood. I have been faced with a difficult pregnency but knew that I could not destroy my child, who is now a beautiful 30 year old wife, mother and teacher.

Can America turn back to a time when all life was worth saving and nurturing because it was created by a loving God? I believe we can, but it will take commitment and hard work. Abortion on demand for any reason? We can do better than this.
